about

For a while I was following a path well trodden; I was engaged, with a mortgage, and following a shared plan. Like many plans though, it didn't quite come off in the end. Fortunately I've found happiness in the line of incredible people, friends and musicians that surround me on stage and in life. No break up would be complete without a song, and although we don't communicate at this stage, I hope one day we can. And in the mean time, I wanted to un-bottle my feelings in the hope they fall on the ears they're intended for, and received with the sentiment they share.

lyrics

Grateful is how I'd describe
The feelings that come from inside
Of looking back on happier days
Admiring all the progress that we made

4 years is such a long time
To make up and break up our minds
The toughest of decisions
Are the ones we're offer clearest of

I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye
I've cried those terry I couldn't cry
I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know
We knew this wasn't right

Changes are hardest to make
As gradually hearts start to break
Even all the continents
Broke up and went their own way own way over time

Memories are all that survive
Of feeling loved and feeling alive
What more could we want I guess
The best we get is feeling blessed

I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye
I've cried those terry I couldn't cry
I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know
We knew this wasn't right

Musical interlude
Life might be better by far
We'll deal with the house & sell on the car
But the toughest part of all to take
Was getting back that ring I gave you

I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye
I've cried those terry I couldn't cry
I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know
It's time to say goodbye
