All jobs come with stress, but, have you ever thought as far as the press that we put, upon a shooting star? How fickle that we wish, all our wildest dreams come true only not to tell a single soul how we feel. How simple would life be, if, all we had to do was tell, an object that we see, that, started in the sky and fell of the things amongst our dreams, we, only wish that we could do and suddenly they came, quite miraculously true and all I wish in my quiet time was you and me to be happy until this chapter's through, it's our happy ending, no more tears and no questions pending and all I wish in my quiet time was you and me to be happy until this chapter's through, it's our happy ending, no more tears and no questions pending now A secret's not a lie, not finding out just makes us cry the truth will often hurt not knowing it just makes it worse and wishing on a star, doesn't seem to go as far as saying I love you, for all you are and all you do and all I wish in my quiet time was you and me to be happy until this chapter's through, it's our happy ending, no more tears and no questions pending and all I wish in my quiet time was you and me to be happy until this chapter's through, it's our happy ending, no more tears and no questions pending now There is nothing I love in this world more than everything you are and I'll forever be grateful that we wished upon that shooting star and there is nothing I love in this world more than everything you are and I'll forever be grateful that we wished upon that shooting star

It was one autumn morning, through misty skies Dawns chorus calling the sun to rise over Misty seas, and fallen leaves While earth stood still, on Beeston's Hill Church bells were peeling, their rousing call Beckoning towns folk, one and all To their holy place, their garden of grace While earth stood still, on Beeston's Hill and Entered ungodly a maiden fair Skin of the moonstone & sea green hair All her tangled curls filled with crabs and pearls For she was no creature of this world The church beadle noticed as in she crept Eyes filled with thunder, and up he leapt Raised his voice to shout, will you get y'arn out This church ain't no place for the likes of a mermaid Yet un-deterred still, she entered in Sat at the first pew, repents her sins and with Closing eyes, there she quietly dies And raised with god's grace to heaven, and The mermaid in question can still be found Carved to the pew where her soul is bound as the Town folks way, to recall the day That earth stood still on Beeston's Hill

But first we'd need material to see our music win So I screwed up my to do list, and aimed it at the bin The wordings in his email Stood out like Rudolph's nose in hail And written in such clear detail Shoot the bear Don't take my title literally it's just a metaphor For putting down a way of life you never could adore Before time takes it's toll and spirals you into a bore Shoot the bear, don't try it, try it, shoot the bear Don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who'll tell you what to do And certainly don't take a gun and shoot a bear or two These creatures have a right to their Existence in zoo keepers care Or in the wild jungles where They wouldn't stop to think about killing you for their tea if they were hungry and just about to hibernate; if that's what bears do Don't take my title literally it's just a metaphor For putting down a way of life you never could adore Before time takes it's toll and spirals you into a bore Shoot the bear, don't try it, try it, shoot the bear

Lost at Sea 02:56
Lost at sea In a hamlet but 12 miles north of a town On a night both foul & fair 3 men set their sights upon the sea To meet their fortune there All 3 were local fishermen All were capable, all were brave But nothing could prepare them now For natures mighty wave Horsey's an unfamiliar place Where boulder strewn beaches lie Protecting Norfolk's low lying land from the torture of the tides Across for some hundred yards or more Of marshy wasteland lay A wreck of what was a worthy ship Only yesterday, and 3 more water graves, no one will be saved From the peril's of Horsey's great waves A brother of the captain watched As the nameless ship returned With a cargo full of nets and gear And a fortune they had earned Yet only 80 yards short of the shore The ship began to dive Turned turtle and came keel uppermost Swallowed by the tide, and 3 more water graves, no one will be saved From the peril's of Horsey's great waves The village laid in silent wait As the bodies of the 3 But fathers grand and husbands Were forever lost at sea

Gypsy 04:14
Chasing our tails on a full and moonlit night Winter waves a'crashing, stars a'shining bright The stumble home began anew with strangers hand in hand A slow and casual amble to return unto our land The liquor was strong and sufficient, raising spirited souls into flight She crept closely behind us but not so we could tell A sound within a silence, a linger with no smell Her hair was black as evil, and her green eyes hinted calm With mystery and magical where silver crossed her palm We felt the felt feeling that followed As it dawned on us what we had found, falling for a gypsy Eleven years she stayed with us for little more than food A simple bed to rest her head though very seldom used A shelter on a rainy day, a spot laid by the fire And no attempts to stray from us and no hints of desire Before her we had nothing missing Though we may not feel complete again, fallen for a gypsy

B1159 03:02
B1159 Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Sure there may be faster routes that could take half the time The kids have almost gone insane the wife & I don't mind Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 On our way back from Nottingham to see family & friends Staying with the in-laws sure drives you round the bend But instead of heading straight back home to bring pain to an end Gonna take the longest route I can; through Bacton, Sidestrand, Overstrand, it's such a kinda local joke Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Sure there may be faster routes that could take half the time The kids have almost gone insane the wife & I don't mind Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Got held right up through Grantham and boy I swore & cursed Yelled, don't you know I've got to go, and M's dying of thirst But the 47 through Kings Lynn is too direct at first And the speed limit is much to quick "it's 60 at its worst" I'm Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Sure there may be faster routes that could take half the time The kids have almost gone insane the wife & I don't mind Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Back when we were courting we would used to come this way fuel back then was half a crown & you paid the bloke in hay & fish & chips at Potter Heigham & Nelson place to play Dominoes with uncle Rod a legend round this way I'm Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Sure there may be faster routes that could take half the time The kids have almost gone insane the wife & I don't mind Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Was chatting with our landlord about a week ago Told him of our journey home, the route we liked to go And he paused, for a minute, thinking something up y'know And all that he retorted was "that's not the way to go" I'm Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Sure there may be faster routes that could take half the time The kids have almost gone insane the wife & I don't mind Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 Gonna drive this old Sierra down the B1159 If it's the last thing I do before my kids kill me

Always Time 04:13
I've never been overly gracious at handling lateness there aren't many times I remember it turning out well. The sense of despair when you know you're not there at the time and the place that you'd promised to be, well I guess that it gives me another short story to tell so I might as well There are parts of my life I accept I am sort of obsessive anyone who's seen my wardrobe would have to agree But lateness annoys me, inside it destroys me my patience elludes me in times of despair where there's always that person who'll offer their advice to me, quite sincerely That there's always time One who gave such advice was a serial offender she came into the world late decided to keep up the act was late when we me, claimed to always forget was reliable in that they never were there god only knows how they ever not found themselves sacked and how thats a fact! But there's always time I've been dressed for hours you've not even showered I'm dying for something to eat A date out for dinner's a regular winner but if we're any later we won't get a seat I don't want to go now we've missed half the show now wasn't this evening a treat? well... no. So we'll play this scenario out once again with a difference, when you didn't take on any other agenda's as well and right from the outset were honest about getting ready to leave with just seconds to spare then maybe I'd give you these gracious and true words of mine at that time That there's always time We're equally ready the build ups been steady we've both had a nice glass of wine We'll walk in the nice way the riverside pathway a favourite of both yours and mine A wonderful night with no stressing, no fighting even the food was just fine, and yes we arrived on time. There's always time...

Pantomime 03:50
Pantomime To set the scene, times are hard for a king & queen Both let down by the ones who'd been Trusted to them, it's the frailty of men And out to sea Sails a prince and his company Seeking treasure & destiny Heading for land with a sword and a plan And seconds, tick away While mountains, stand tall in our way We are, saviours, drifting astray While the hero waits in line, it's all part of the pantomime We reach act two There's a princess so hard done to How do we all feel bad for you? Given all you ask for and left still wanting more Try a day Living life Cinderella's way 'Til our Prince comes and saves the day Happy thereafter and sharing your laughter And seconds, tick away While mountains, stand tall in our way We are, saviours, drifting astray While the hero waits in line, it's all part of the pantomime Society Isn't so far detached for me Spoilt children see poverty Through giant tv's & on blue Ray DVDs And wouldn't we One day all like to look and see Multi-cultural harmony Where kindness wins applause and hard work reaps rewards And seconds, tick away While mountains, stand tall in our way We are, saviours, drifting astray While the hero waits in line, it's all part of the pantomime

Thinking back to days gone by With open fields and open skies Open minds no questions why Long before, you reached new shores And we had found, uncommon ground Lately we have seen such change Kids and partners re-arranged Priorities that seemed so strange Long before, you reached new shores And we had found, uncommon ground I used to think that we would play together til our distant days Share the things that we would see, And be there til eternity Travelled over foreign sand & visit every distant land but Sadly we would say, life got I the way Brother let's step back in time, and play the games we used to find, Amusing in our childish minds Long before, you reached new shores And we had found, uncommon ground But everything that we could say'd have gotten in our friendship's way & torn us further still apart & finished off our broken hearts It's what made us what we've become, we stared fear in the face and won We're stronger in the end My brother & my best friend Let gaps between stand aside Enchanting memories be our guide Because no ocean is too wide For you and me, we will see, That we have found, our common ground

Norman Wood 04:27
I’d like to tell a story it’s a tale of Norman Wood I’d like to tell a story it’s a tale of Norman Wood He learned his trade up by the sea in a tiny place called Turnery to be the best that he could be This is his tale Norman Wood (Norman Wood) He played to earn his money and he toured the world in style He played to earn his money and he toured the world in style His blend of youth and talent should have turned into a life that could have made his dreams all well and good This is his tale Norman Wood (Norman Wood) You’ll find a small shop keeper on an island far from here You’ll find a small shop keeper on an island far from here What started out a simple art could soon turn a career apart and leave him right back at the start You’ve got this far and now you're wondering how this story came to me what could connect a simple skilled musician and shop keeper by the sea (Norman Wood) Chris I think I’ve found him he’s the perfect young trainee Chris I think I’ve found him he’s the perfect young trainee his blend of youth and talent will develop and excel until upon my needs he doth fulfil How was I to break free from the torture and restraint that there would seem have me in a darker place, unhappy chasing after someone else's’ dreams (Norman Wood) One day I just got honest and I didn’t want to stay One day I just got honest and I didn’t want to stay upon my heels I turned my back pulled down my case began to pack returned down that familiar track and there I said goodbye to Norman Wood You may be very happy you may do something you love You may be very happy you may do something you love but if you can relate to this take heed and make sure you don’t miss your opportunity for bliss and end up in a tale of Norman Wood (Norman Wood)

Grateful is how I'd describe The feelings that come from inside Of looking back on happier days Admiring all the progress that we made 4 years is such a long time To make up and break up our minds The toughest of decisions Are the ones we're offer clearest of I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye I've cried those terry I couldn't cry I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know We knew this wasn't right Changes are hardest to make As gradually hearts start to break Even all the continents Broke up and went their own way own way over time Memories are all that survive Of feeling loved and feeling alive What more could we want I guess The best we get is feeling blessed I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye I've cried those terry I couldn't cry I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know We knew this wasn't right Musical interlude Life might be better by far We'll deal with the house & sell on the car But the toughest part of all to take Was getting back that ring I gave you I'm sorry, I couldn't say goodbye I've cried those terry I couldn't cry I never meant to hurt you, but deep inside I know It's time to say goodbye
